Unexpected! (by traviesa-conejita) |
An unexpected good movie, highly recommend it to those who think love and a relationship should be perfect and magical or to those who need have a laugh at the expense of another's misfortune and shortcomings. The scenery of the movie mirrors Sara Canning's character Colette: beautiful and wild, a blend of tomboy/kind of crazy woman who's just perfect for Leo. It's a pleasant change to see Ryan Kwanten outside his Jason Stackhouse persona, and leaving no trace of it as other actors get stuck or comfortable just having one face for everything they work in. Also, Will <more> |
seriously underrated...it might not make you laugh but it will make you smile. (by alphadevilll) |
Its not totally fresh but its funny. Its not the best kind of a love story but its romantic.its everything the title says it is...it is wrong but it feels right.the concept of loving a married woman,it was really weird for me in the beginning but it grew on me.The cast is good.I usually never write about the story in a review so that others can have a completely open mind as to what they will get to watch...just if its good or bad.But if you do decide to give it a try read the description of the basic plot and if you r okay with the silliness of it ,then expect some heartwarming scenes with <more> |
Favorite movie, this is why... (by juliaekeklint) |
There is something very very special about this movie. Sure Leo is completely nuts in his mission to pursue Colette. Buts that is only a fragment of the actual plot, like the glue between the pieces.Mostly I love this movie for everything it achieves, the scenery is beautiful and magnificent, and it plays so well into the story. From his fear of hights, to her love for nature. And I have never before in my life watched a movie in witch I did like every character. To the Troys trying to defend their friend yet still being professional with the gallery, to Julie and her need to find someone to <more> |
My Favorite Romantic Comedy (by veganvessel) |
I've seen literally hundreds of romantic comedies and this one is my all-time favorite. The main reason is that our hero sets out on an outrageous and ballsy goal, and the movie carefully and cleverly shows how he might succeed. Leo goes gaga when he first casts eyes on Collette. The fact that this happens at her wedding doesn't faze him. Nor does her obvious passion for her new husband Danny--a tall, handsome, rich lawyer who skied in the Olympics and founded a children's charity. Nor does Leo's own place in the world: a failed writer working as a dishwasher, and the butt of <more> |
Surprisingly satisfying (by hogwaump) |
This story is a good one. The only reason I don't give it a ten is the rough spots here and there. Yes, it is Rom-Com formulaic, but it does not have the smarmy Hollywood quality that taints so many similar movies. I found the the lack of super-slick production rather charming, actually. It feels like a good first effort from a talented director, played out by actors that, while not at all novices, have not yet perfected their craft. It could have benefited from some more stringent cutting; several inessential scenes hit me as sophomoric or hackneyed and made me stop watching . . . but I <more> |
warm movie (by ronnaber) |
nice warm movie with lots of twist and turns. I was little disappointed at how it ended but film was genuine. Actors did good job and idea which writer wanted to portray , they managed to do it. you actually start feeling bad for the guy who just wants to provide for the girl.movies like this takes courage . the girls husband and his friends could have done better acting but nevertheless the girl and guy hold the movie together. her job was little unbelievable and i thought a stereotype is being generated here about modern independent woman are all about nature and stuff . could this movie be <more> |
Better than expected (by davidlittler1990) |
I just want to start off by saying I accept there is some major plot holes like why didn't she get a restraining order? And this isn't cute this is definitely stalking... I also feel a lot of sub plots were abandoned and a great deal is left unexplained or "cut to fit" leaving the bare minimum behind. However if you're happy to simply over look the gross interpretations of reality and roll with it, you'll find yourself enjoying a really good film. The main character is beautifully portrayed, the story evolves at the perfect pace, and you're left with a smile on <more> |
Rom-Coms Don't Get Much Better than This (by danew13) |
From my viewpoint there's nothing much wrong with the Right Kind of Wrong. At first I figured it would be another low budget trite teen comedy. But instead I viewed triumph of the spirit. A film about a good guy Ryan Kwanten down on himself because of his marriage breakdown. Then its love at first sight with a new bride at her wedding Sara Canning . He becomes obsessed with winning her away from her husband. In the process he discovers his true self and his new love discovers him.Now to top this off, the film was shot amidst the rustic and majestic splendor of Alberta, Canada. And to be <more> |
Lighthearted romantic comedy with some great laughs. (by face-819-933726) |
Here we have an excellent romantic comedy filmed in Canada and I really mean excellent. Ryan Kwanten is a great Australian actor, though he does let his accent slip a couple of times, that most people won't even notice he is really funny, and very good at the physical comedy and he uses those skills very well in this movie. Will Sasso Is kind of blowing up right now, and I am glad to see it as he has been paying his dues for a long time. The story is more in the style that a guy can deal with watching if he is forced to, with pratfalls, and lots of great characters that get <more> |
